Plant and animal life is no different from that in areas close to Masca. Teno's Rural Park is part of the environment. It is basically made up of mountains and surrounding areas. 8,063.6 hectares are divided into four municipalities where 69,4 percent is within the bounds of Buenavista.

The Park is characterized by volcanic relieves showing a rich diversity of flowers, many of which are endemic to the area and some are exclusive in this type of environment.

“Laurisilva” forests in Monte del Agua and “Bacarán” slopes are part of the vegetation.

Due to so many sea cliffs such as “Los Gigantes” (the Giants), important communities of “rupícola” plants can be seen in the area.
